Imagine: two shirts transform into a dress, an oversized jacket becomes a cropped blazer and skirt, jeans turns into shorts and a purse...the sky is the limit! Join us for a thrifting field trip to ConSHINEment (910 Bergen Ave) Tuesday 11/12 at 6pm, or bring garments from your own closet to alter, mend, or reinvent.

Homemade Gifts Workshop

Sliding Scale Tuition: $70-195

In time for the holidays, enjoy a cozy atmosphere where you can stitch up some personalized gifts! There will be patterns, supplies, and instructions for sewing patchwork accent pillows and zipper pouches, but the sky is the limit in terms of what you make! Maybe this year your gift is to mend a loved one's favorite top, hem those pants they never wear because they're too long, or sew a pair of comfy pajama pants. You're welcome to come with your own projects in mind, or follow patterns we have on hand for special homemade gifts. <3

Sliding Scale Drop in Rate: $40-125 per day

Don’t have time for a multi-day workshop- no problem! Swing by at a day rate and work on your sewing/mending/altering projects. Please sign up at least 3 days ahead, and let us know if you’re bringing a sewing machine or could use a communal machine at the studio. We’d love to have you sew with us!

Donut Tops

Fun fabrics, breezy styles, a simple and adaptable pattern- what’s not to love?! These tops will layer great for early fall. All sewing levels are welcome, including absolute beginners! Fabric is INCLUDED in your tuition if you register by 9/18. (More info on fabric when you click the registration link below.)

In time for Halloween, create a bespoke underbust corset that will have heads turning! This project is great for intermediate sewists who know the basics of using a sewing machine.
